At long last a ‘cruise in company’ which was not dogged by bad weather. A total of 6 boats took part in a fairly loose flotilla starting on Friday 3rd August and ending on the 20th. It appears that they are restricting access to La Rance during July & August due to heavy traffic & resultant tail backs when the lock bridge is lifted.

The Channel Islands not being part of the UK or the EU, fuel purchased in the Channel Islands should be permitted to be used in the EU without incurring any additional duty or penalty by virtue of the 1990 Istanbul Convention, irrespective of the place of residence of the boat owner. Only 2 logs were entered - both by Gerardine & Bill Bowen.The first covering last Easter’s Cruising Section Cruise to Lezardrieux and also their visit to Pontrieux and return home via Paimpol.
