Three boats made it to Alderney for the weekend. ‘Kite Runner’ (Southerly 110 – Richard & Mary Storey), ‘Polaris’ (Hardy 36 – Martin & Christine Lewis and David Mitchison) & ‘Meltemi’ (Maxi 1050 - Phil & Julie Ball) Dinner on the Saturday night was at the Braye Chippy which was excellent value for money and this was worked off the following day by a ride on the train after a visit to Alderney SC(!) A very enjoyable Sunday evening was spent on ‘Polaris’ save for Richard & Mary Storey who dined with Alderney friends ashore.

After the weekend ‘Polaris’ returned home whilst ‘Kite Runner’ & ‘Meltemi’ went off to Cherbourg after which ‘Kite Runner’ slowly returned home via Portbail and Carteret and ‘Meltemi’ went on to cruise the Normandy coast.
