21 boats and 54 people took advantage of a superb weather window to travel to Jersey for a great weekend.This was all the more remarkable as the previous briefing evening was greeted with force 6 winds and very heavy rain. The May Rock Hopping event was a great success.
Over 60 people met at the GYC and the Rear Commodore Motor, Richard Ridout welcomed everyone to the official briefing on the Friday evening.
They enjoyed a very informative briefing from Colin Ferbrache on the impressive Channel Island Air Search and its crew. This was followed by a full briefing from Robbie Dodsworth and Ady Ogier - the guide for the Rock Hopping.
GYC Fish and Chips finished off a fine evening.
