Following the cancellation of the planned race on 18 June due to gale-force winds, Carey Olsen and the Guernsey Yacht Club and St Helier Yacht Club are delighted to reschedule the Carey Olsen Inter-Island Yacht Race for Saturday 23 July 2011.  This will be our second year and the race will start in Jersey at 1100hours and finish in Guernsey.  The Inter-Island Race is a long established event in the Channel Islands sailing calendar and Carey Olsen brings our own style and warmth to the event!

We are very grateful to Martin Ozard, Aden Clark, Gordon Wilson, and Jason Hobbs of the Guernsey Yacht Club for re-organising the race and for their enthusiastic support for Carey Olsen, as well as Colin Taylor, Julian Barber, Helen Le Marquand and Matthew Wainwright of the St Helier Yacht Club and Vanessa Mahy who will be playing a key role on the day in providing the Guernsey Yacht Club facilities in Guernsey.

Last year 96 yachts participated and once again we hope to encourage as many participants as possible to join in what will be a fun-packed event.

Please Note:

1) a new entry form is required for the re-sail.

2) no entry fee is required if the yacht was entered for the postponed race on 18 June.

3) closing date for entries will be strictly enforced and late entry fees will apply.

4) mooring fees for St Helier which were paid for the postponed race will be refunded. Mooring

fees for 22 July should be paid again, if required.

5) mooring fees for St.Peter Port which were paid for the postponed race will be refunded. Fees

for 23rd July must be paid direct to St. Peter Port Harbour staff at standard rates.
